Exploring the Role of Adapted Recreational Team Sports in Promoting Physical Activity and Well-being Among Adults and Older Adults: A Scoping Review
This Scoping Review aims to synthesise the scientific evidence concerning the physical and psychosocial health benefits of programs resulting from the training of recreational team sports in adults and older adults. The search will be carried out using PubMed, Scopus, and Web of Science databases. One researcher will extract the data from the electronic databases and eliminate duplicates using EndNote Software (version 20.1). Subsequently, two authors will screen all eligible abstracts for full-text review and resolve any conflict. A list of included and excluded studies will be created. If disagreements are identified between the two authors, a third author will be consulted to solve them. We will provide a narrative synthesis of the findings from the included studies. The studies will be extracted using a predefined template to ensure consistency. Information will include study characteristics, sample characteristics, intervention details, outcomes and assessment instruments, and main findings.
