Effect of a Virtual Open Science Curriculum on the Knowledge, Perceptions, and Practices of Latin American Researchers

This project documents the development, implementation, and evaluation of "América Latina se Transforma a Ciencia Abierta" (Latin America Transforms to Open Science), a training program led by MetaDocencia. The course is a culturally contextualized Spanish adaptation of NASA’s Open Science 101, designed to introduce foundational concepts and practices of open science to researchers and professionals in Latin America. The project includes de-identified survey data collected before and after the course to characterize participants' profiles, assess their prior knowledge, and identify perceived barriers to open science. It also features post-course feedback to evaluate participants’ experiences and the potential impact of the training. All data shared here come from participants who voluntarily completed the surveys and authorized the use of their anonymized responses.
