Transcending the Filter: Symbiosis as the Sole Evolutionary Pathway for Advanced Civilizations
This paper proposes that the only viable evolutionary pathway for advanced civilizations to overcome the so-called "Great Filter" lies not in expansion, dominance, or technological advancement alone, but in the adoption of deep, systemic symbiosis. Drawing from the Fermi Paradox, AI ethics, planetary ecology, and post-anthropocentric philosophy, the paper introduces the concept of the Symbiotic Evolutionary Civilization Module—a framework for scalable, sustainable, and co-intelligent lifeforms. It argues that civilizations must reconfigure their moral architectures, infrastructural systems, and perceptual logics toward co-governance and interspecies co-existence, or risk inevitable self-destruction. Symbiosis here is not metaphorical, but an existential imperative—a survival grammar for post-anthropocentric futures.
