Title: Primary Narcissism and Psychosomatic Deregulation: From Sensory Trace to Ego Pathologies
Abstract Primary narcissism is redefined not as a libidinal self-investment or fantasy of omnipotence, but as the original biopsychic state of existence, bodily encoded through the unmediated encounter with the regulatory Other. Originating in the intrauterine phase, this embodied connection forms the basis of ego coherence, sensory regulation, and affective identity. When the early relational experience is traumatic, absent, or dysregulated, narcissistic energy remains unformed or defensive, establishing the foundation for a wide range of mental and somatic disorders. This article proposes a unifying model for psychopathology — including personality disorders, depression, anxiety, psychoses, neurodevelopmental and psychosomatic illnesses — based on the degree of coherence or fragmentation of the primary narcissistic axis. The therapeutic implications emphasize the reconstruction of early regulatory experience through embodied, non-intrusive relational presence.
