Synergistic Nomothetic and Idiographic Inference of the Dynamic Interplay between Affect, Rumination, and Avoidance
Applying the complex dynamic systems theory of psychopathology, the dynamic interplay between affect, rumination, and avoidance are investigated in a community sample. Namely the effects of baseline mental health indicators (depression, anxiety, rumination, and avoidance) on the dynamics of affect, rumination, and avoidance will be investigated using a nomothetic approach. Furthermore, multiplex recurrence networks and diagonal cross-recurrence profiles were explored idiographically.
