The relationship between lipedema, body dissatisfaction, and eating disorders: a scoping review protocol
This scoping review aims to map and synthesize the available evidence on the relationship between lipedema, body dissatisfaction, and eating disorders in women, identifying the prevalence and types of eating disorders, the experience of body dissatisfaction and stigma, the instruments used to assess these outcomes, and gaps in the literature to guide future research and integrated clinical practice. The review will present a comprehensive mapping of the available evidence on the relationship between lipedema, body dissatisfaction, and eating disorders, identifying gaps for future studies and supporting the development of screening protocols and mental health strategies in the integrated management of women with lipedema.
