Vignettes for Digital Geographic Competence Evaluation

This dataset was collected as part of a study on Geography-specific digital competences in teacher education. It includes responses from 177 pre-service teachers at six German universities who completed a set of text-based vignettes designed to assess their competences in digital Geography education. This study was part of a larger survey on digital competences in History, Social Sciences and Geography. The dataset includes responses to multiple-choice vignette items, self-reported confidence ratings and background variables (e.g., subject area, teaching experience, gender, age). All data are fully anonymized. The instrument is grounded in the DigCompEdu framework and was developed and validated through expert review and psychometric analyses. This project includes the raw dataset (.csv) and a detailed codebook.
