Phase 1 – Interviews
We will conduct individual interviews, recognising that discussing health and marginalisation can be very sensitive. During the interviews, the participants will be invited to share their experience with accessing healthcare services, both online and offline. We aim to conduct approximately 30 interviews, to strike a balance between representation, generalisability and data saturation. The interviews will be analysed with the support of Atlas.ti to identify situations where the digital divide impacts on healthcare access and “commonalities across intersecting identities and social positionality” (Abrams et al., 2020, p. 4). The results of the qualitative data analysis will be shared with the Advisory Group and the project’s partners to validate both our findings and the methodological approach for the participatory workshops to be delivered in the subsequent phase.
