Entropy-Driven Forecasting: A Predictive Framework for Societal Collapse and Resilience
This research proposes a novel framework for forecasting societal collapse and resilience through the lens of entropy. By treating complex societies as thermodynamic and informatic systems, we explore how entropy production, dissipation, and structural inefficiency can serve as leading indicators of systemic instability. Drawing on interdisciplinary insights from physics, complexity science, and sociology, we argue that collapses are not purely political or economic events but entropic transitions—points at which societal structures can no longer maintain order due to escalating disorder in energy, information, and institutional coherence. This framework offers not only diagnostic tools but also strategic guidance for resilience planning, governance design, and early warning systems.
