Levers and limits to the organisational innovation process through the example of the RARES multi-actor network.
The RARES network is the culmination of a multi-stakeholder’s work, which brings together structures from different fields - agriculture, social and solidarity economy, research, agrirural enterprises, etc. - with the aim of supporting the creation and reinforce agrirural activity in Bourgogne-Franche-Comté (France). This experience was born in 2018 from the observation of several structures of their inability to support on their own certain profiles whose installation project was a combination of agricultural and rural activities. These people are guided by strong agroecological values anchored in their territory. At the border between different sectors of activity and because they are often not from the agricultural sector and “do not fit into the boxes”, these projects leaders encounter many obstacles in their journey to installation. Forced to adapt, these profiles innovate. In order to better know and support them, and because these project leaders appear more and more in the landscape of agricultural and rural installation, actors gravitating around agrirurality in Bourgogne-Franche-Comté (BFC) have chosen to decompartmentalize and to work together to innovate in turn in an unprecedented cooperation. Back on the progress made by the Network, on the innovation process that it had to demonstrate to accommodate executives and opening on the last locks that remain to be open.
