<p>The strain used was SFS04 (<a href="http://www.plosntds.org/article/info:doi/10.1371/journal.pntd.0012690#pntd.0012690.s014" target="_blank">S2 Table</a>). The growth measurements, conducted in the Eve robot (see <a href="http://www.plosntds.org/article/info:doi/10.1371/journal.pntd.0012690#sec013" target="_blank">Materials and methods</a>) are presented in arbitrary fluorescence units (AFU) and shown as mean ± SD, n = 4 replicates).
