Pneumatic compression therapy combined with collaborative risk warning intervention of family members to prevent lower limb venous thrombosis after cesarean section
Objective To explore the clinical efficacy of pneumatic compression therapy (PCT) combined with familycollaborative risk warning intervention in preventing lower limb venous thrombosis after cesarean section. Methods A total of 102 cesarean section women treated at the First Affiliated Hospital of Hebei North University from September2021 to October 2023 were selected retrospectively. According to the time of implementation of PCT, combined with family collaborative risk warning intervention (October 2022) , the women who received routine intervention from September 2021 to September 2022 (n=51) were set as the control group, and the women who received the PCT joint intervention from October 2022 to October 2023 (n=51) were set as the observation group. The incidence of lower limb venous thrombosis, postoperative lower limb pain[Visual Analog Scale (VAS) ], first time out of bed, and length of hospital stay were compared between the two groups. The indicators were also compared between the two groups, including plasma prothrombin time (PT) , activated partial thromboplastin time (APTT) , plasma D-dimer, fibrinogen (FIB) , femoral vein blood flow velocity, self-efficacy, and quality of life. Results The postoperative incidence of lower limb venous thrombosis in the observation group was significantly lower than that in the control group (5.88% vs 19.61%, χ 2=4.320,P=0.038) . After intervention, the VAS scores for both groups decreased, with the observation group having lower scores compared to the control group (t=7.363,P<0.01) . The first time out of bed and the length ofhospital stay in the observation group were both shorter than those in the control group (P<0.01) . One week after the intervention, the TT, APTT, FIB, femoral vein peak blood flow velocity, average femoral vein blood flow velocity, self. efficacy scale, and health survey scores in both groups significantly increased, with the observation group showing higher levels compared to the control group (P<0.05) . The D-dimer levels in both groups decreased, with the observation group having lower levels compared to the control group (t=10.494,P<0.01). Conclusion The implementation of PCT combined with family collaborative risk warning intervention in cesarean section women can effectively reduce the risk of lower limb venous thrombosis.
