Dual-Wavelength\nExciton-Polariton Condensation via\nRelaxation of Multiple Vibrational Quanta in Organic Microcavities
The relaxation of organic polaritons is a key aspect\nfor understanding\nnonequilibrium bosonic condensation in organic microcavities. In this\nwork, dual-branch vibrational quanta-assisted polariton condensation\nis experimentally observed in organic single-crystal-filled microcavities.\nBy precisely modulating the thickness of the planar optical resonator,\nwe can tune the ground states of two lower polariton branches to perfectly\nmatch the energies of two vibrational modes and consequently trigger\npolariton condensation in both branches. These condensates have nearly\nidentical thresholds. Dynamical analysis indicates that efficient\nenergy relaxation of the photogenerated excitons to the two vibrational\nmodes through the nonradiation of two separately vibrational quanta\nenables polaritons to populate the ground states of these two lower\npolariton branches. Our work is evidence of the importance of the\nvibrational quanta relaxation mechanism for polariton condensation\nand provides a pathway for multicolor polariton condensation and future\nlaser displays.
