Abstract

Photocatalysis has been emerging as a green and sustainable\napproach\nto chemical synthesis. Fabrication of an effective and robust photocatalyst\nto achieve efficient photocatalysis under mild conditions is of great\nsignificance but still challenging. Herein, taking the versatile typical\nCu(I)-catalyzed clicked reaction, photoresponsive triphenylamine moieties\nwere rationally incorporated into a triazole-linked porous organic\npolymer (POP), <b>TATPA-POP</b>, for application in a photocatalytic\nreaction. Analyses not only confirmed the successful construction\nof the triazole-linked POP but also showed its stability, nanosized\nporosity, and semiconductor features. Electron paramagnetic resonance\n(EPR) spectroscopy measurements revealed its ability to trigger the\ngeneration of reactive oxygen species (ROS) under light irradiation,\nmaking it have a high potential in ROS-involved photocatalytic reactions.\nThe photocatalytic experiments in sulfide aerobic oxidations confirmed\nthat the constructed POP is an effective and recyclable photocatalyst,\ndemonstrating that, by utilizing the versatile click reaction to incorporate\norganic photochromic groups into POPs, highly effective heterogeneous\nphotocatalysts can be facilely fabricated.
