Development of a\nPhotothermal Regenerative Plasmonic\nPlatform as a Light-Controlled Interface
This study introduces a novel plasmonic nanocomposite\nplatform,\nwhere gold nanoparticles (AuNPs) are synthesized in situ within a\npolydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) film. The innovative fabrication process\nleverages ethyl acetate swelling to achieve a uniform distribution\nof AuNPs, eliminating the need for additional reagents. The resulting\nnanocomposite film exhibits exceptional photothermal conversion capabilities,\nefficiently converting absorbed light into heat and rapidly reaching\nhigh temperatures. Furthermore, the platform is biofunctionalized\nwith the phosphotriesterase enzyme, not only enabling the degradation\nof organophosphate pesticides but also showcasing the potential for\nmultifunctional applications. The platform’s ability to be\nregenerated after use underscores its sustainability for repeated\napplications.
