Stereo- and\nEnantioselective Syntheses of (Z)‑1,3-Butadienyl-2-carbinols\nvia Brønsted Acid\nCatalysis

A Brønsted acid-catalyzed enantioselective synthesis\nof (Z)-1,3-butadienyl-2-carbinols is developed. By\nemploying\na chiral phosphoric acid as the catalyst, a variety of 1,3-butadienyl-2-carbinols\nwere obtained in good yields with excellent Z-selectivities\nand enantiopurities from α-alkyl-substituted homoallenyl boronates.
