Abstract

Antiferromagnets (AFMs) are ideal\nmaterials to boost\nneuromorphic\ncomputing toward the ultrahigh speed and ultracompact integration\nregime. However, developing a suitable AFM neuromorphic memory remains\nan aspirational but challenging goal. In this work, we construct such\na memory based on the CoO/Pt heterostructure, in which the collinear\ninsulating AFM CoO shows a strong perpendicular anisotropy facilitating\nits electrical readout and writing. Utilizing the unique nonlinear\nresponse and bipolar fading memory properties of the device, we demonstrate\na multidimensional reservoir computing beyond the traditional binary\nparadigm. These results are expected to pave the way toward next-generation\nfast and massive neuromorphic computing.
