Abstract

The\ncoupling of lattice and heterostructure interfaces represents\nan effective strategy for disrupting the so-called scalar relationship\nand accelerating reactions involving multiple intermediates. In view\nof this, a lattice-heterostructure interfacial catalyst consisting\nof a crystalline Fe/Ni bimetallic MOF and amorphous Fe-MOF was designed\nin this paper for high-performance alkaline oxygen evolution reaction\nelectrocatalysis. The strongly coupled lattice-heterostructure interface\ninduces a unique synergistic effect that promotes electron transfer\nof the catalyst. The resulting catalyst exhibits exceptionally high\ncatalytic activity for the oxygen evolution reaction in alkaline media,\nthe <b>Ni</b><b>9</b><b>Fe</b><b>1</b><b>-BDC-1@Fe-MOF</b> coated on a glassy carbon\nelectrode has an overpotential of 257 mV at a current density of 10\nmA cm–2. Furthermore, this catalyst demonstrates\na high electrochemical stability. These research results highlight\nthe superiority of lattice-heterostructure interfaces in the development\nof advanced catalysts.
