A Zeolite-Templated\nCarbon Synthesized from Extralarge-Pore\nZeolite ZEO‑1

A new member of the zeolite-templated carbon (ZTC) family\nwith\nunprecedented properties has been developed using extralarge-pore\nzeolite ZEO-1 (JZO) as a template. The resulting ZTC-JZO exhibits\nstrong X-ray diffraction long-range order, replicating three distinct\nzeolite planes with different lattice spacings. By harnessing the\nenhanced micropore void volume in the ZEO-1 template, we achieved\nthe first ZTC with a bimodal micropore size distribution, resulting\nin superior skeleton density and thickness. The ZTC-JZO presents high\nelectrical conductivity and demonstrates improved electrocatalytic\nactivity in the oxygen reduction reaction.
