Recent Advances of High-Entropy Intermetallics for\nElectrocatalysis
High-entropy\nintermetallics (HEIs) combining the advantages of\nordered intermetallics and high-entropy alloys have been considered\nas highly promising candidates for electrocatalysis. Nevertheless,\nthe comprehension and rational design of HEI electrocatalysts still\nlack a systematic summary. In this Review, we summarize the recent\nadvances in HEI electrocatalysts and their applications in energy\nconversion reactions for the advancement of efficient electrocatalysts.\nAt first, we propose the underlying thermodynamic mechanism and design\nprinciples of HEI electrocatalysts. After that, various synthetic\nstrategies for HEI electrocatalysts are introduced. Furthermore, we\nhighlight representative catalytic examples in important electrocatalytic\nreactions, such as the liquid fuel oxidation reaction (FOR), the oxygen\nreduction reaction (ORR), the hydrogen evolution reaction (HER), and\nso on. Finally, current issues and future perspectives on HEI electrocatalysts\nare presented.
