Systolic blood pressure time in target range within 24 h and in-hospital death of critically ill patients and the role of ventricular arrhythmias: a MIMIC-IV analysis with external validation in the eICU-CRD database
Higher SBP TTR (110-140 mmHg) during the first 24 h of ICU admission was independently and inversely associated with in-hospital mortality and ventricular arrhythmias. This metric provides information complementary to blood pressure variability. The association with in-hospital mortality was consistently validated in the multicenter eICU-CRD database, suggesting SBP TTR may serve as a useful biomarker for risk stratification in ICU patients.
