Evaluation of Medial Sural Artery Perforator Free Flap in Reconstruction of Soft Tissue Defect in Upper and Lower Extremities (MSAPF), Clinical Study

Background: The Breast is a crucial component of feminine aesthetics, and achieving breast symmetry is essential for an aesthetically pleasing appearance. Augmented Reality (AR), which combines elements from the physical and digital realms, can serve as an effective tool for surgeons seeking to strategize operations and achieve symmetry.Aim: To investigate the augmented Reality for assessment symmetry in different breast surgeries and evaluate the feasibility of preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative use.Patients and Methods: This investigation was prospective investigation utilizing 20 cases in different aesthetic breast surgeries. The investigation was performed in the university hospitals, Faculty of Medicine, Al-Azhar University. Results: In comparison between the AR groups and Measurements groups in the preoperative and postoperative assessment of breast basic lines, footprint, and NAC parameters, no statistically significant variance was noted among 2 Groups when the difference in measurements between the right and left side was less than 1 cm.Conclusion: Augmented Reality was cheap and easily applicable for assessment symmetry in different breast surgeries and was feasible in preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative evaluations. It has good practicability in pre and postoperative symmetrical assessment as well as surgical marking facilitation.
