A Multi-Platform Secure Communication Framework Based on Image Steganography and Chaotic Encryption

In the digital era, the rapid expansion of online communication has heightened concerns regarding data security and privacy. While traditional cryptographic techniques protect data content, they often reveal the presence of sensitive information, making it vulnerable to interception or scrutiny. Steganography addresses this limitation by concealing the existence of data within seemingly innocuous media. This research proposes a multi-platform secure communication framework that integrates Least Significant Bit (LSB) image steganography with Chaotic Map encryption to achieve enhanced confidentiality and imperceptibility. The system is designed for deployment across desktop, mobile, and web platforms, enabling seamless and covert communication irrespective of the user’s device. By combining the strengths of LSB embedding for data hiding and chaotic encryption for securing the hidden data, the framework ensures robust protection against unauthorized detection or manipulation. Experimental results demonstrate high imperceptibility of stego-images, with Peak Signal-to-Noise Ratio (PSNR) values exceeding 50 dB, along with perfect data extraction accuracy. These findings validate the practicality and effectiveness of the proposed framework for secure and covert messaging applications in real-world scenarios.
