Correlation Between Objective and Subjective Methods in Skin Aging Assessment: A Comparative Approach
Subjective and objective methods assess different aspects of photoaging, with clinical scales being more aligned with visible extrinsic damage, while imaging and colorimetry provide quantitative measures of pigmentation and erythema. The findings suggest that combining both approaches yields a more comprehensive evaluation of skin aging, reinforcing the importance of multimodal assessment in dermatological research and clinical practice.
