LIQUEFACTION VULNERABILITY MODEL FOR URBAN AREAS
This paper presents a methodology to estimate liquefaction-induced damage in urban centres, utilizing well-established geotechnical, structural, and seismic indicators. The study employs the Vulnerability Index method, combined with the Analytic Hierarchy Process, to systematically evaluate and weigh key factors. This approach provides a comprehensive assessment of building vulnerability to liquefaction, with a particular focus on rigidbody displacement effects, especially in areas where a non-liquefiable layer overlays a liquefiable one.
