The Domino Effect of Exposure: A Case Report on Baker’s Asthma
A BSTRACT Baker’s asthma is a clinical condition of considerable occupational health concern that requires employers to implement stringent dust control measures. This report presents the case of a young man with bronchial asthma who has been employed at a pizzeria for 8 years. He reported a persistent cough followed by streaky hemoptysis, despite receiving high doses of inhaled corticosteroids and beta-2 agonists. This case is particularly noteworthy due to the complexity of asthma management, primarily resulting from ongoing exposure to the triggering agent–wheat flour in this patient.
