Synthesis, Structure, and Eu 3+ ‐Activated Photoluminescence of the Mixed‐Anion Carbodiimide NaLa 2 F 3 (CN 2 ) 2
The mixed‐anion compound NaLa 2 F 3 (CN 2 ) 2 was synthesized by solid‐state metathesis from LaF 3 and Na 2 (CN 2 ), and structurally characterized by single‐crystal X‐ray diffraction. Its framework structure consists of distorted La polyhedra linked by [NCN] 2– ligands and fluorine atoms, with Na cations in interstitial sites. Eu 3+ ‐doped NaLa 2 F 3 (CN 2 ) 2 shows a broad charge‐transfer excitation band and the characteristic 5 D 0 − 7 F J emissions, dominated by a 5 D 0 − 7 F 4 transition.
