Meanings and position of certain lexemes from the field of artificial intelligence in the lexical fund of Theserbian language and perception of new technologies: Challenges of modern times
This research includes the lexemes vebinar (webinar), troll (troll), fising (phishing) and cetovanje (chatting). The meanings of these lexemes were analyzed using a linguocultural approach and Dictionaries. The reason for this approach was seen in the fact that the meaning of lexemes is often built upon in a specific context, as well as the fact that terminologization is a process of intellectualizing language. Additionally, significant linguocultural data are obtained based on the opinions of subjects, which, apart from linguistic data, contain cultural ?baggage? with stereotypes and prejudices. Methodologically, using deduction and description, qualitative-quantitative methods on a random sample of 173 students and high school students, results were obtained through an online questionnaire. The questionnaire structure consisted of questions regarding the significance of artificial intelligence in the learning process, how subjects are familiar with the meanings of the examined terms, whether there are prejudices and stereotypes regarding the use of new technologies in life and teaching, and questions regarding attitudes towards language. The results indicate that subjects partially know the meanings of the analyzed lexemes. The analysis confirmed that there are also some stereotypes and prejudices to a lesser extent. They said that Chat GPT can be misused and that the use of modern technologies does not improve the quality of the teaching process. Keywords: artificial intelligence, ChatGPT, modern technologies, linguoculturology, stereotype, prejudices
