A 1938 bachelor’s thesis on eighteenth-century Serbian literature at the University of Skopje
Petar Kolendic taught at the Faculty of Philosophy in Skopje from 1924 until his arrest in 1941. Throughout that time, he was seriously dedicated to working with students, as evidenced by the seminar papers written under the mentorship of this renowned literary historian. One such paper is the seminar work titled ?Literature of Orthodox Serbs in the 18th Century? by Muzafer Sulejmanovic, whose significance lies in its cultural and historical value, as it testifies, among other things, that students were assigned topics of national importance. This was particularly meaningful given that the Faculty of Philosophy in Skopje, as the only institution of higher education in the southern regions of the Yugoslav monarchy, also had a national role.
