Particle size distribution and scattering properties of Intralipid 20%

To model the optical properties of Intralipid 20%, the particle size distribution and concentration were measured over a diameter range of 40 to 2,000 nm. These data, combined with traceable refractive index measurements of soybean oil, were used to calculate the scattering coefficient within the independent, single scattering regime.

Abstract

To model the optical properties of Intralipid 20%, the particle size distribution and concentration were measured over a diameter range of 40 to 2,000 nm. These data, combined with traceable refractive index measurements of soybean oil, were used to calculate the scattering coefficient within the independent, single scattering regime.
