A Y‐Source High Step‐Up Soft‐Switching Converter With Continuous Input Current

ABSTRACT This article proposes a high gain soft switching Boost‐SEPIC converter with Y‐source coupling inductance suitable for photovoltaic power generation systems. This converter is obtained by combining a Boost converter with a Sepic converter and introducing an active clamp branch, a Y‐source coupling inductor, and a switching capacitor unit. The proposed converter utilizes topology combination and coupled voltage doubling technology to achieve a very high voltage gain and a continuous input current. Using active clamping branches, zero voltage turn‐on of all switching devices has been achieved. At the same time, zero current turn‐off of all diodes was achieved, effectively solving the problem of reverse recovery of diodes. Analyze the working principle of the converter, provide various performance parameters and soft switching implementation conditions of the converter. Finally, an experimental prototype of 200‐300 W was built to validate the theoretical analysis.
