Professor G.G. Kulikovsky: chief otorhinolaryngologist of the Red Army during the Great Patriotic War
In the years of the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory in the Great Patriotic War we remember outstanding figures of military medicine, teachers with a capital letter who made an invaluable contribution in medical care provision to the wounded with ENT-organs damages at the front. The name of Grigory Grigorievich Kulikovsky is known to absolutely every otorhinolaryngologist of our country as the inventor of the needle for puncture of the maxillary sinus. However, most doctors are unaware with details of his life and work. Obviously, such outstanding figure deserves to be remembered and honored by posterities. Despite the fact that many years have passed and little information about G.G. Kulikovsky remains, the authors have attempted to reproduce available biographical data and present the developmental landmarks of his life.
