Design and development of risk-informed systems analysis platform of nuclear power plant
Conventional safety assessment and decision support approaches for nuclear power plants (NPPs) predominantly depend on large-scale physical simulation tools, which are often time-intensive and exhibit limited adaptability. In response to these constraints, a Nuclear Power Plant Intelligent Safety Margin Analysis System, designated as RISA, has been developed utilizing the Risk-Informed Safety Margin Characterization (RISMC) methodology. This study outlines the comprehensive design framework of RISA, details its system architecture and functional modules, and discusses the specific design considerations and implementation processes associated with each software module and interface. RISA possesses the capability to accurately assess both operational and accident-related risks in NPPs and other nuclear energy systems. The platform facilitates dynamic accident progression analysis, quantification of accident risks, prediction of potential consequences, and the provision of strategic intervention measures.
