Dynamics simulation analysis of knotter nozzle in D-type knotter
To address the risk of the tying nozzle experiencing significant stress and deformation during the knotting process of the knotter, this study initially conducted a preliminary analysis of the maximum static friction between the bundle rope and the hook clamp. Subsequently, the tying nozzle was subjected to simulation and analysis using ANSYS and ADAMS software. Dynamic simulation conducted with ADAMS software provided the force load spectrum of the hook clamp during operation, revealing that the maximum normal force exerted on the hook clamp reached 578.29 N. Based on this result, the maximum static friction between the tying rope and the hook clamp was calculated as 213.9673 N. A transient dynamics analysis of the tying nozzle was then performed using ANSYS, which indicated that the primary stresses and strains were concentrated in the hook clamp, with the maximum equivalent stress reaching 206.95 MPa. The permissible stress of the hook clamp was determined to be 236.67 MPa, confirming that the maximum equivalent stress did not exceed the material’s allowable limit. The regions of highest stress were identified at the transition arc between the upper end of the hook clamp and the roller shaft, as well as at the arc between the upper end and the tip of the hook clamp. These stress concentrations were attributed to the structural design of the component. The simulation results presented in this study may serve as a reference for the subsequent structural optimization of the hook clamp.
