Investigation of blade vibration characteristics based on co-simulation
This study explores the vibration characteristics of a 5 MW wind turbine blade using a collaborative simulation approach integrating multiple software platforms. A parametric three-dimensional model of the blade was constructed in SolidWorks and linked with GH Bladed for load computation and ANSYS Workbench for modal analysis, in order to assess the dynamic behavior under both free and prestressed conditions at rated wind speed. The analysis indicates that, in the free state, the natural frequencies consistently exceed the rotor excitation frequencies, thereby reducing the potential for resonance. Under prestressed conditions, the aerodynamic and centrifugal loads exert a stiffening effect, leading to increased natural frequencies across all modal orders compared to the free state. These findings verify the structural reliability of the blade during operational conditions and provide theoretical support and methodological insight for optimizing the dynamic performance of large-scale wind turbine blades.
