Research on the inspection technology of type IV high-pressure hydrogen storage cylinder based on finite element simulation
Through the finite element simulation method, a complete performance evaluation technology system for type IV composite high-pressure vessels is constructed. Simulations of hydrostatic testing reveal notable stress concentration in the head transition region and micro-slip behavior at the nozzle connection interface. Modal analysis further identifies potential resonance hazards resulting from the overlap between natural frequencies and engine-induced excitation, along with stiffness deficiencies aligned with specific fiber orientations. Fatigue life prediction effectively quantifies damage evolution and crack initiation under cyclic loading conditions. By integrating multi-physics coupled simulations, this study constructs a complete technical chain that spans from static strength evaluation to dynamic performance prediction. This integrated approach not only addresses the limitations inherent in conventional testing methods but also provides a robust theoretical foundation for the optimized design of hydrogen storage cylinders.
