Reliability analysis of power supply control module for marine equipment

This paper investigates the power supply control module of marine equipment through reliability simulation grounded in failure physics. A virtual digital prototype of the power supply control module is developed, with sensitive stress fac tors identified based on operational and environmental conditions throughout its lifecycle. Subsequently, thermal stress and vibration stress analyses are performed on the module. The results of these analyses serve as boundary conditions for fault prediction, which is conducted using a failure physics-based model. The simulation outcomes facilitate the identification of reliability weak points within the module and enable the evaluation of fault initiation times.

Abstract

This paper investigates the power supply control module of marine equipment through reliability simulation grounded in failure physics. A virtual digital prototype of the power supply control module is developed, with sensitive stress fac tors identified based on operational and environmental conditions throughout its lifecycle. Subsequently, thermal stress and vibration stress analyses are performed on the module. The results of these analyses serve as boundary conditions for fault prediction, which is conducted using a failure physics-based model. The simulation outcomes facilitate the identification of reliability weak points within the module and enable the evaluation of fault initiation times.
