Study on motion response and effect factors of multi-ship cooperative salvage
Salvage operations are crucial for ensuring waterway traffic safety, with lifting operations being one of the most commonly employed methods. However, their effectiveness is constrained by various factors, particularly the complex coupled motion responses in multi-vessel operations. Numerical models are employed to analyze the motion response and influencing factors of the lifting vessels. The results demonstrate that two-vessel operations provide superior motion stability, while three-vessel operations exhibit increased motion responses under wave and current loads. Moreover, both inter-vessel distance and environmental load direction significantly influence the motion response in multi-vessel operations, with lateral currents increasing the extreme roll angles by 30%-50%. This study provides theoretical support for enhancing the operational stability of lifting vessels in salvage operations.
