Reliability life study of circuit breakers and their protection device
A circuit breaker serves as a crucial device in the electrical field, facilitating transmission and distribution of power while also ensuring the protection and control of electrical apparatus. Failure to reliably open and close circuits or to provide effective protection against line and equipment faults can result in significant economic losses and may also pose risks to personal safety. Consequently, conducting reliability studies on circuit breakers holds considerable importance. In this study, the design threshold and expected reliability life of each product are determined through extreme stress assessments and accelerated life tests conducted on one circuit breaker and two disconnectors. The findings provide a reference for the replacement or overhaul of circuit breakers and their protection devices in practical applications, while also supporting the safety and reliability of various power-using equipment.
