Review of research on network reliability from the perspective of management science
As a specialized class of systems, networks play a vital role in supporting a wide range of functions, making the reliability of their operation increasingly essential in contemporary society. For instance, the dependable transmission of information with in communication networks forms the foundation for numerous associated business processes. As a fundamental property of networks, reliability has attracted significant scholarly attention in recent years. This study seeks to conduct a comprehensive review of the existing literature from a management science perspective, identify key research themes and emerging areas within the field of network reliability, and systematically organize relevant methodologies. Furthermore, the study offer s an initial classification of existing research based on network attributes such as flow characteristics, component states, and topologic al structures, ultimately providing valuable insights to guide future investigations in this domain.
