Development and application of digital platform for probabilistic safety analysis

This study examines the business processes involved in Probabilistic Safety Analysis (PSA) and integrates the specific requirements of professional design management to construct a comprehensive digital platform framework for PSA. Functional modules were developed for Failure Modes and Effects Analysis, graphical modeling, and qualitative analysis of internal event PSA, aligning with the technical characteristics of PSA. For hazard PSA, supplementary analytical modules were designed to facilitate complete digitalization of both internal event and hazard PSA components. Through the establishment of a PSA-specific data model, effective data governance was realized within the discipline, enabling closed-loop traceability of PSA business processes and design management data. The platform was applied to support various PSA project analyses. The implementation results indicate that the platform significantly improves the quality and efficiency of probabilistic safety analysis design, reduces labor costs, and supports the advancement of professional expertise and the development of a PSA knowledge management system.
