The 2022–2025 National Strategy for Preventing Infections and Antibiotic Resistance: A Literature Review
Abstract The 2022–2025 National Strategy for Preventing Infections and Antibiotic Resistance in France aims to tackle the growing issue of antibiotic resistance. The strategy emphasizes six key areas: Increasing awareness, strengthening surveillance, infection prevention and control, optimizing antimicrobial use, promoting research and innovation, and strengthening leadership and governance. Vaccination is emphasized as a preventive measure, while high hand hygiene compliance reduces healthcare-acquired infections. Antibiotic stewardship, particularly nanomaterials, is a key factor. The strategy acknowledges the need for sustained public health investments, but acknowledges knowledge gaps in vaccine efficiency, ecological factors, and healthcare infection protocols. India has also implemented initiatives to combat antibiotic resistance, including surveillance networks, action plans, and one health initiatives.
