Assessment of muscle optical properties by double distance TD NIRS measurements: a simulation and in vivo study

We propose an analysis method for TD NIRS based on measurements at two sourcedetector distances specific for a two-layer geometry. The method was verified by numerical simulations and applied in-vivo on a muscle study. © 2026 SPIE.
