Scrotal Trauma: A Practical Guide for Urologists
ABSTRACT Scrotal trauma is an uncommon but critical presentation in urology, with potential consequences for fertility, endocrine function and psychological well‐being. This article provides a practical guide for urologists, covering mechanisms of injury including blunt, penetrating, degloving and blast‐related trauma. It outlines key anatomical considerations, acute management strategies and principles of reconstruction. A rare case of complete testicular evisceration following a road traffic accident is included to illustrate practical challenges and management approaches.
