Prevalence of Cytomegalovirus in Patients With Newly Diagnosed, Flare-Up, and Acute Severe Ulcerative Colitis
This study suggests cytomegalovirus infection as an important risk factor for relapse in patients with UC and should be evaluated with immunohistochemistry along with a histopathological study.
