The Feminist Theories of Yoko Ogawa and Chizuko Ueno — Focusing on "The Pregnancy Diary"
This paper aims to explore the connections and resonances between the literary works of Japanese female writer Yoko Ogawa and the feminist theory of Japanese sociologist Chizuko Ueno by analyzing Yoko Ogawa's "The Pregnancy Diary". The paper discusses three aspects: deconstructing the myth of motherhood, exhibiting bodily alienation, and confronting existential absurdity. This research aims to break the boundaries between literary creation and theory and explore a new path of intertextual criticism.
