Balancing Immediacy and Accuracy in Business English Interpreting in the Digital Context
Business English interpreting practice has long faced the challenge of balancing immediacy and accuracy: immediacy requires interpreters to convey information almost synchronously, ensuring smooth and efficient communication; accuracy demands interpreters to precisely describe the underlying information, intent, and cultural connotations behind the language, avoiding misunderstandings and conflicts. Based on this, this paper explores how digital technology influences the balance between immediacy and accuracy in business English interpreting. It analyzes the role of technology as both an auxiliary tool and an alternative solution, aiming to provide practical guidance for enhancing business English interpreting practices in the new era.
