Spontaneous pneumomediastinum in acute severe asthma: A case report
Spontaneous pneumomediastinum (SPM), also known as mediastinal emphysema, develops as a consequence of acute severe asthma and is an uncommon entity. It is essential to recognize this complication since it must be distinguished from other potentially fatal illnesses. The purpose of presenting this case report is to highlight its importance, consider it in the differential diagnosis (d/d) of various problems resulting from acute severe asthma, and provide a detailed explanation of its management strategy.
