Outside Back Cover: Solvent‐Directed in Situ Stacking Modulation of 2D Covalent Organic Frameworks for Selective Separation of Xylene Isomers (Angew. Chem. Int. Ed. 5/2026)
In the Research Article (e19150), Hui Liu, Jianming Zhang, Yingjie Zhao, and co-workers reveal solvent-directed in situ stacking modulation in 2D COFs. Changing the reaction solvent switches the interlayer arrangement between AA and AB without altering the linkers, reshaping the pore architecture. The AA-stacked COF exhibits straighter channels and delivers enhanced selectivity for xylene isomer separation.
