INCREASING PRODUCTIVITY OF MECHANICAL TREATMENT BASED ON A FUNCTIONALLY ORIENTED APPROACH

The problem of increasing the productivity of finishing and hardening treatment of turbine blades of a gas turbine engine (GTE) by applying a technique to ensure the consistency of treatment processes at each point of a complex spatial profile is considered. A method for adapting the basic treatment technology is described using the blade of the first stage of VK-2500P engine as an example. The values of geometric parameters of the simplified blade model and contact stresses and specific pressures arising from their treatment according to a typical technological process are calculated and presented, as well as the pull force of the workpiece during polishing at each characteristic point of the profile to ensure constant and uniform technological effects. Based on the data obtained, a diagram is presented highlighting the characteristic zones and the required pull forces in these zones. The main conclusions of the paper confirm that the use of a functionally oriented approach can improve the operational properties of finished products without additional treatment operations due to the application of the principles of functional orientation and reducing the number of excessive impacts and transitions. The results obtained can be useful for enterprises engaged in the production of GTE and machine-building products.
